In 2005, Zagat’s "U.S. Family Travel Guide" called The Magic House museum in St. Louis the country's best attraction for children. Yep, even Disney’s Magic Kingdom took a backseat to The Magic House. Free parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis on the private lot to the west of and directly across the street from The Magic House, MADE for kids’ building. Additional street parking is also available. Find thousands of other hotels, flights, car rentals and package deals with KAYAK. I hope to avoid flying with them in the future.

Ask at the circulation desk of your branch. Once used for admission, the pass (issued on a lanyard) will be collected at the desk and returned to the library. I was charged $99 for a carryon on the 4th out of 4 flights only. It was placed under the seat just like the other times. The Magic House has frequent special events, generally giving participants access to play in the museum afterward. One of the most popular, Big Truck Day, will blow the minds of your young vehicle lovers. Generally held in the fall, it’s a ticketed event that brings cranes, fire trucks, bucket lifts, sleeper cab trucks, and more up close for examination and exploration. Admission also includes a hot dog lunch and private playtime in Trike Town. Cultural events, too, like an observance of the Hindu festival of colors, Holi, and a German Easter celebration, draw crowds. Finally, holiday breakfasts and evenings with characters like Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny are annual traditions.

Being at The Gentle Barn is like walking through a giant storybook where you’ll hear the animals’ stories of resilience and learn what they teach us about forgiveness, unconditional love, and living in the moment. You are sure to fall in love with animals more deeply than ever before. Throughout its history, education has been at the core of The Magic House’s mission. The Magic House offers a wide variety of interactive learning experiences encouraging and inspiring students of all ages to become lifelong learners, including field trips, family STEAM nights, scout programs and summer camps. The Magic House continually updates our hands-on exhibits to reflect current educational priorities like STEAM, civic education, and 21st-century learning skills, while aligning with the interests and needs of children today. The Magic House has had a long-term commitment to provide Access for All, an initiative to offer free admission and learning experiences to families and schools from under-resourced areas.

Listen to an engaging presentation about the animals, then hug the cows, meet the horses and donkeys, give the pigs tummy rubs, hold the chickens, cuddle the turkeys, pat the goats and sheep, and so much more. Once you and your party have worked up an appetite loving animals, have a meal and cake on our picnic tables. Out of respect for the animals, we ask that your meal and cake be vegan. Our staff are happy to give you recommendations if needed.
Special Events at The Magic House
They’ve made a lot of improvements to the house while waiting to reopen, including touchless faucets and toe kicks for bathroom doors. Exhibits have been spaced out, while some that are too difficult to make germ safe have been closed. Some areas have also been made one way. There was only one person who was taking care of the passengers for the economy class and it took us to wait about one hour to do our check i. As a result we barely get to the airplane as the gate was at the end of the airport. That is totally not professional where one crue is working at the registration desk with economy and 3-4 crues are helping for the business class.
This Week’s Public Hours
First flight got cancelled then got stuck with a 13 hour layover in Denver. The process was long and frustrating to many people. Better than I expected but I did pay for a seat and carry on bags ahead of time. The process of buying the ticket and navigating all the hidden charges that Frontier throws at you was a terrible experience.

Everything you need to know about the kids' museum's exhibits, special events, and memberships, plus info about its satellite location, MADE for Kids. Flight was diverted to Canberra because Not enough fuel to circle on Sydney’s skies waiting for showers to pass. Once back rolling, we stopped short of takeoff because crew had reached maximum work hours per shift. Back to gate we waited and waited in the plane with no water and no food - a total of 4 hours. Received contrasting news about the follow up of our trip.
It’s grown phenomenally since then, adding on wings and a huge backyard. You can bring your own food to eat in the outdoor Garden Pavilion, which offers seating on a first come, first serve basis.
